Junior Site Engineer

Job Summary

Job Summary: The Incumbent will support the project team, implementing innovative and cost effective/optimized solutions within the road industry. He/she will have strategic imperatives cutting across: (i) How to realign the customer requirement with the Project Team. (ii) Create a database, take inputs, and develop a tailor-made pavement design. (iii) Monitoring project performance to ensure the expected and improved life cycle with the design parameters. (iv) Design integration with the resource pool and materials availability.

Job Details

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create civil design plans for road and hydraulic design projects.
• Model road designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and/or other recent related software.
• Ensure design standards are followed.
• Assist the project director in the development of plan sets and details.
• Meet deadlines and cost targets.
• Maintain required project documentation.
• Accept additional responsibilities as training progress.

Qualifications:

We seek Mid-Level Road Design Project Engineers with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering. The ideal candidates should have a minimum of two years' experience in civil design for roadway projects. Roadway projects include but are not limited to:

• Interstates, Highways and Freeways
• Various Intersections Including Roundabouts
• Interchange Layout

• Structural Design for Major and Minor Bridges/Tunnels/Viaducts

• Design experience with the Federal Ministry of Works/especially on roads
• Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities
• Thorough knowledge of relevant local and international best practices/standards 
• Long-term relation with Strategic players.
• Pavement design experience.
